An ECG is like a heart’s electrical map. We place small, comfortable stickers on your chest and arms to record your heart's electrical signals. This quick, non-invasive test helps us detect any unusual rhythms or signs that your heart might be working too hard, ensuring your heart's beating pattern is healthy and consistent.
2D Echocardiography
This test is similar to an ultrasound but for your heart. Using sound waves, we create live images of your heart in motion, showing us how your heart's chambers and valves function and how blood moves through them. It's an essential tool for diagnosing heart valve issues, congenital defects, or changes in the heart muscle, giving us a detailed look at your heart's structure and performance.
Treadmill / Stress Test
: During this test, we ask you to walk or jog on a treadmill or cycle on a stationary bike. As you exercise, we monitor your heart rate, blood pressure, and electrical activity. This helps us understand how your heart handles physical stress and can reveal problems like reduced blood flow to the heart muscle, often a sign of coronary artery disease.
Holter Monitoring
For Holter monitoring, you'll wear a compact, portable ECG device for a day or more. This device continuously records your heart's electrical activity as you go about your usual activities. It's particularly good at catching heart rhythm irregularities that might not show up during a standard ECG.
Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring
With ABPM, you wear a blood pressure cuff for a full 24 hours. It automatically measures your blood pressure at various times throughout the day and night. This comprehensive approach provides a more accurate picture of your blood pressure changes over time, aiding in the precise diagnosis and management of hypertension.
Coronary Angiography
In this procedure, we inject a special dye into your heart's arteries to make them visible on X-ray images. This test allows us to see if there are any blockages or narrowing in your arteries, which could indicate coronary artery disease. It's an effective way to pinpoint areas that may be impeding blood flow to your heart.
Coronary Angioplasty
: If we find a blockage during angiography, angioplasty can often help. We use a small balloon, guided to the blockage site, to gently open the narrowed area. Often, we also place a stent—a small mesh tube—to keep the artery open, improving blood flow to your heart muscle.
Pacemaker Implantation
When the heart beats too slowly or irregularly, a pacemaker can help. It's a small device implanted under your skin near the collarbone. The pacemaker sends electrical pulses to prompt your heart to beat at a regular rate, ensuring a steady, healthy heart rhythm.
Cardiac Bypass Surgery (CABG)
When there are blockages in the heart's arteries that angioplasty can't address, bypass surgery is an option. We use a healthy blood vessel from another part of your body to create a new route for blood to bypass the blocked artery. This surgery enhances blood flow to your heart, alleviating symptoms like chest pain and reducing the risk of heart attacks.
Color Doppler
Our Color Doppler services build upon echocardiography, adding color to ultrasound images to visualize blood flow within the heart and blood vessels. This innovative technique allows us to detect and evaluate blood flow abnormalities, providing essential information for diagnosing and managing various heart-related conditions.
Strain Imaging
Strain imaging is a specialized tool we use to assess the deformation of the heart muscle. By measuring the subtle changes in the heart's function, we can detect early signs of heart problems, including heart failure. This technique enhances our ability to provide early intervention and personalized treatment plans.
Stress Echo (Stress Echocardiography)
Stress echocardiography combines echocardiography with exercise or medication to evaluate how well your heart functions under stress conditions. This test is invaluable for determining your heart's ability to handle increased demands and for uncovering hidden cardiac issues. Our expert staff ensures a safe and accurate assessment of your cardiac performance during stress testing.
